As I have said, I treat many people for many different problems. Here are a few of my patients testimonials to their beneficial sessions. Some are quite long but I have left them that way as I want my patients to be able to give you their opinion on their treatment.

"I had been suffering back pain on and off over the last couple of years but I began to get acute attacks that left me in incredible pain and unable to sit or even sleep through the night. After seeing an Osteopath, my problem was diagnosed as 2 torn discs in my spine that I had now re-torn as scar tissue is a weakened area. The Osteopath gave me some exercises to perform but reccommended for the pain relief I saw Maureen McCann. I have to say, I am NOT great with needles (of any sort) but I was so sick of the shooting pains and muscle spasms from holding myself in stange positions that I decided to be brave and give it a shot. Maureen was really understanding about my fear and was totally patient with me. She assured me that many people are nervous when they first try Acupuncture. I cannot tell you how amazed I was that even after the first treatment, literally straight after, the pain was reduced and my mobility improved. "I started treatment with Maureen in March 2008. My IVF consultant had shared some statistics with me that showed Acupuncture would increase my likelihood of pregnancy. Maureen always took the time to ask me how I was feeling, so that she could tailor treatments to have a maximum effect. I think she has a very caring rapport and I trust her implicitly to let me know how many treatments I should have and how frequently. I got pregnant as a result of my IVF treatment, but unfortunately had a very early miscarriage at 5 weeks. I am 23 years old and having suffered from IBS quite badly for several years, I have been having acupuncture with Maureen for nearly a year now. I have definitely seen a big improvement in my symptoms. Before, I used to suffer from spasms of sharp stomach pains after eating, be constantly bloated, frequently constipated, tired and lacking in energy especially after eating foods containing wheat and sugar. I used to avoid these completely as they made everything worse. Having acupuncture has significantly reduced the severity of all my symptoms. I can eat wheat and sugar every so often without any major side effects and only rarely suffer from pain now. Maureen’s treatment has also increased my overall energy levels, it helps with my stress levels and gives me an all round sense of well being.
